Is a Dutch CV different from a US résumé?+
Yes. Dutch CVs are concise and direct — a short personal profile, then clearly labelled Werkervaring (Work Experience), Opleiding (Education) and so on. They're plain in tone and often include a date of birth. This tool reformats a US résumé to suit.
Will it translate my CV into Dutch?+
No. It writes the section headings in Dutch (with an English gloss) and reformats the structure and tone, but it doesn't translate your experience. English CVs are widely accepted across the Netherlands, so your content stays in the language you wrote it.
Should I include a date of birth or photo?+
Dutch CVs commonly include a date of birth, and sometimes a photo or nationality. We never add any of those you didn't provide — include them yourself after downloading if you choose to.
